When initiating a quote on Proto2U.com, you'll be prompted to upload a CAD file. Simply drag and drop the file onto the page or select a file from your computer.
Proto2U.com Network provides instant quoting for most orders. This means you'll receive the price as soon as you upload your files, and you'll witness real-time price adjustments when editing your part specifications, such as choosing a different material or surface finish.
Within an existing quote, you can add more files by dragging and dropping another file or selecting one from your computer in the area beneath the Parts & specifications section.
Shipping Destinations
For accurate prices and lead times, enter your shipping address when creating your first quote. This information will be saved, requiring you to enter it only once.
Proto2U.com Network ships to various locations in Europe, North America, and many other places globally. Refer to our complete list of countries we ship to.
Choosing Specifications
From the main page of a quote, click the part card or select Change specifications to edit the part quantity, material, surface finish, tolerances, etc. Learn more about selecting materials and surface finishes.
You can also upload a 2D technical drawing on the Part specifications page. When uploading a technical drawing, specify whether the part contains threads and the tightest tolerance.
The specifications entered on the platform take precedence during order production. For more information, refer to our guide to discrepancies.
Locking the Price and Versions
The price displayed by Proto2U.com Network's instant quoting may change due to fluctuations in availability across our global supply chain.
After uploading your parts and selecting desired specifications, you can lock the price, which remains valid for 30 days.
Once the price is locked, no new parts or specification changes can be added. To make modifications, select New version from the toolbar at the top of the quote. Each new version duplicates the previous one, retaining all parts and specifications from the original.
A single quote on Proto2U.com can have multiple versions, facilitating price comparisons for different specifications. Lock in a price without obligation and share locked versions via email, PDF, or team accounts.
Upon completing the upload of parts and configuration of specifications, click Go to checkout to finalize your order.
Orders Requiring Review
In certain cases, such as complex orders, specific technical requirements, or when an estimate is needed, instant quoting may not be available. If this occurs, you can Request a review. Our team will promptly provide the final price for your quote.
